THE MAN
Introduction

The Man Arogya Nyas ( Mental health trust ) a non governmental, non profit organization in Kota Rajasthan India Founded in 2012 led by Ms. Jayanti Mewara an eminent psychologist.
In 2013,with other colleagues led by the Ms. Jayanti Mewara is composed of psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, Man Aarogya Nyas was registered by the Assistant Commissioner, Devasthan, Department Kota Office, Kota, Rajasthan. under the provisions of the Rajasthan Public Trust Act, 1959 the Man Aarogya Nyas is also registered under the Disabled People (Equal Opportunities, Rights, Protection and Full Participation) Act, 1995 Section 52 (2) on 14 – 02 – 2018 by District collector office kota for five years.
Volunteers from social, education and health sector play an important role in joining activities which organized from time to time by Trust.
Overall goal of MAN AAROGAYA NYAS provides a holistic approach to mental health — with intensive work towards creating awareness about mental health in order to reduce the stigma surrounding it and provide pro motive, preventive and positive primary mental health care. We aim to address mental health concerns such as understanding and interrelationship in Physical and Mental Health .
Mental disorders – Myth and situation Common stress, depression, anxiety, hysteria, epilepsy, self- harming and suicide in people’s lives ,substance abuse, gender-based violence, are often neglected but are very much prevalent in the lifestyle.

Objectives of MAN: –

-Placing mental health seriously in social and political agenda.

-Develop mental health infrastructure for Homeless and Poor People suffering from psychiatric problems.for provide psychiatric, psychological and social care services in the informal environment with compassion love and sympathy.

-To Create awareness of mental health, addiction ,understanding of physical and mental health and their relationship.

-To create awareness in the community for support to identify persons with mental disorders and to those who need mental health support.

-Scientific approach in the direction of eradication of superstitions related to mental health.

-To promote voluntary spirit among people to provide mental health services to society and motivate them to become Mental health social workers.

-To build consciousness regarding mental illness issues among the community and sensitize persons with mental illness , to help them get rid of stigma, and provide guidance and cooperation in their treatment.

-To provide counseling and treatment to persons suffering from mental illness with the help of psychiatrists and psychologists.
